How do I pair my SANAG Portable Bluetooth Speaker with my device?

I am having trouble connecting my SANAG Portable Bluetooth Speaker to my smartphone. I have tried turning on Bluetooth on my phone and searching for the speaker, but it doesn't show up in the available devices list. What am I doing wrong?
