How do I turn on the VTech Twinkle & Learn Tambourine?

I just purchased the VTech Twinkle & Learn Tambourine and I can't figure out how to turn it on. I've tried pressing the buttons, but nothing seems to work. Can you please provide instructions on how to turn on the tambourine?
