To assemble the tank to the bowl of the , please follow these steps:
1. Before assembling the tank to the bowl, check the tightness of the lock nuts on both the flush valve and fill valve. Also, check the tightness of the brass nuts and rubber washers underneath the tank.
2. Assemble the beveled gasket to the pressure vessel outlet shank, ensuring that the lock nut is enclosed in the recess. Make sure the entire surface of the gasket is in contact with the tank bottom.
3. Place two-channel pads in the recesses on the back of the bowl ledge to prevent china-to-china contact.
4. Position the tank assembly onto the bowl. Do not use putty. Hand-tighten the plastic wing nuts sufficiently to prevent rocking. The tank can be leveled by adjusting the relative tightness of each wing nut on the three points of contact - beveled gasket and two-channel pads.
5. Connect the supply line (not included). Do not use pipe dope or tools on plastic parts. Hand-tighten only. Over-tightening may cause damage and void the warranty.
6. Turn on the water supply. You will hear the water flow into the tank. It may take between 60 and 90 seconds for the pressure vessel tank to completely fill before it is ready to be flushed. Note that after each flush, time must be allowed for the refill.
7. For optimal actuating performance, there should be an approximate 1/16" gap between the actuator rod and the adjuster when at rest. If adjustment is necessary, do it with the water supply attached and the unit pressurized. Loosen the set xxxx in the top center, rotate the adjuster to achieve the required gap, and then retighten the set xxxx .
8. Use the provided plastic bolt caps and plastic washers as indicated in the illustration.
Please note that using non-original parts during installation or repair is not recommended, as Gerber will not be responsible for any issues arising from their use. Additionally, avoid exposing plastic trim parts to strong oxidizing agents, chlorine, or acid levels below 5.0 pH, as these can cause damage and void the warranty.
