To install the Signature Hardware 939203 Leaman Vanity Light, follow these steps:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to consult a professional if you are unfamiliar with installing lighting fixtures. Also, ensure that you have gathered all the required materials for the installation.
2. For safety purposes, shut off the electricity to the wires you will be working on by either removing the fuse or shutting off the circuit breaker.
3. Secure the circular strap (A) to the outlet box using the outlet box screws (B).
4. Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white wire from the outlet box, and the black wire from the fixture to the black wire from the outlet box. Use the provided wire connectors to cover the two wire connections. For a more secure connection, wrap the two wire connections with electrical tape. Attach the grounding wire connections with electrical tape as well. Connect the copper ground wires from the fixture and the outlet box to the ground xxxx on the circular strap. Note: If you have electrical questions, consult your local electrical code for approved grounding methods.
5. After the wires are connected, carefully tuck them inside the outlet box.
6. Raise the front plate (F) to the circular strap (A) and align the raised dimple (C) with the hole (D). Secure the front plate to the circular strap using the xxxx (E).
7. Slip the glass (K) over the socket (I) and insert the clip (H) into the glass holder (G).
8. Install the provided light bulb (J). Make sure not to exceed the maximum wattage capacity recommended on the socket (I).
