To install an M.2 SSD or Intel Optane Memory Module in the Intel NUC11PAHi7 Home & Business Desktop Mainstream Kit, follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have a compatible M.2 SSD or Intel Optane Memory Module. You can check the Intel Product Compatibility Tool for compatible options.
2. If you're installing an 80mm M.2 SSD:
a. Remove the small silver xxxx from the 80mm metal standoff on the motherboard.
b. Align the small notch at the bottom edge of the M.2 card with the key in the connector.
c. Insert the bottom edge of the M.2 card into the connector.
d. Secure the card to the standoff with the small silver xxxx .
3. If you're installing a 42mm M.2 SSD:
a. Remove the small silver xxxx from the metal standoff on the motherboard.
b. Move the standoff from the 80mm position to the 42mm position.
c. Align the small notch at the bottom edge of the M.2 card with the key in the connector.
d. Insert the bottom edge of the M.2 card into the connector.
e. Secure the card to the standoff with the small silver xxxx .
4. Once the M.2 SSD or Intel Optane Memory Module is installed, you can proceed with other components or close the chassis.
