To properly install the Peerless-AV TVFT665 TruVue Universal Flat Tilt Wall Mount, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have a suitable wall surface: This wall mount is designed to be installed on wood stud or solid concrete walls. Make sure the supporting surface can handle the combined load of the equipment and hardware.
2. Gather the necessary tools: You will need a level, a pencil or marker for marking mounting holes, and a screwdriver or drill with appropriate bits for installation.
3. Verify wood stud size and gypsum board thickness: If you are installing the mount on a wood stud wall covered with gypsum board (drywall), ensure that the wood studs are at least 2" x 4" in size. Do not install over gypsum board thicker than 3/8".
4. Level the wallplate: Place the wallplate against the wall and use a level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal. Mark the mounting hole locations on the wall using a pencil or marker.
5. Attach the wallplate: Use the provided screws to securely attach the wallplate to the wall at the marked locations. Make sure the screws are tightly secured, but do not overtighten them.
6. Center the adaptor brackets on the back of the screen: Attach the adaptor brackets vertically on the back of your TV or display. Make sure they are centered both horizontally and vertically.
7. Optional use of spacers and washers: Depending on your specific TV or display, you may need to use spacers or washers between the adaptor brackets and the back of the screen. This is optional and may be necessary to achieve a proper fit.
8. Attach the TV or display to the wallplate: Lift the TV or display with the help of an assistant or mechanical lifting equipment. Align the adaptor brackets with the wallplate and securely attach them using the provided screws.
9. Ensure proper tilt adjustment: The TVFT665 mount allows for tilt adjustment. Adjust the tilt angle as desired by loosening the tilt adjustment screws, tilting the TV to the desired angle, and then tightening the screws.
10. Double-check the installation: Once the TV or display is securely attached to the wall mount, double-check that all screws are tightened properly and that the mount is securely holding the equipment.
