To set up the National Public Seating LWM8-5 Wireless Microphone, follow these steps:
1. Insert batteries: Open the battery compartment on the transmitter and insert two 1.5V batteries. Make sure to match the polarity (+/-) correctly.
2. Power on the transmitter: Turn on the power switch located on the transmitter.
3. Connect the receiver: Connect the receiver to your audio system using the provided audio output cable. The receiver should be powered by plugging it into a power outlet.
4. Set the frequency: The LWM8-5 has four available channels. Select the desired channel on both the transmitter and receiver by using the frequency adjustment buttons. Make sure the transmitter and receiver are set to the same channel.
5. Adjust volume and gain: Set the volume levels on your audio system and adjust the gain control on the receiver to achieve the desired sound level.
6. Test the microphone: Speak or sing into the microphone and check if the sound is being transmitted and received properly. Adjust the distance between the microphone and the sound source to optimize audio quality.
7. Fine-tune settings: If needed, you can adjust the modulation method, frequency deviation, and other settings on the transmitter according to your specific requirements. Refer to the instruction manual for detailed instructions on these advanced settings.
Remember to remove the batteries from the transmitter when not in use to preserve battery life. If you experience any interference or issues with the microphone, refer to the FCC Caution section in the manual for troubleshooting tips.
Please note that if you plan to use the microphone in the 600MHz duplex gap band, you need to register with and check a white-space database to determine available channels before operating it in a specific location.
