To install the Sunco Lighting 2x4 LED Flat Panel Light, please follow the instructions provided in the instruction manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Before installation, make sure to turn off the electrical power at the fuse or circuit breaker box.
2. Carefully unpack the unit and inspect it for any defects. Use work gloves to prevent dirt and oil from transferring to the luminaire.
3. Lift up the four mounting clips on the sides of the luminaire. You can use gloves or pliers for this step.
4. Insert the luminaire into the T-bar ceiling grid. If required by local seismic requirements, secure a safety cable to the connection hole.
5. Remove the electrical enclosure cover and carefully remove the knockout for AC line input wires. Install UL-listed electrical fittings in the knockout holes for wire protection if needed.
6. Plug in the AC line (L, N, and GND) to the LED Driver using 18-14AWG wire. If using a 0-10V dimming controller, run the wires through a separate knockout hole equipped with an appropriate electrical fitting.
7. Follow the wire connection instructions provided in the manual.
8. If applicable, adjust the color temperature and lumen output using the slide switches integrated into the driver.
9. For cable suspended mounting (kit sold separately), secure the round ceiling plate into the ceiling using the expansion anchor and self-tapping screws. Insert Cable A into the cable gripper attached to Cable B and adjust the height and angle as desired. Connect the LED driver to AC main power.
10. For surface mounting (kit sold separately), assemble the mounting frame with screws and the connection plate. Mount the frame on the ceiling, connect the wires from the main to the LED driver, and slide the LED panel into the frame.
