To connect the SOUND TOWN CARME-115BPW18SPW High Power Active Subwoofer to your audio system, follow these steps:
1. Locate the rear panel of the subwoofer.
2. Connect your audio source to the subwoofer using the Combo Input jacks (A/B). These are balanced 1/4" XLR combo jacks. You can use either one of the jacks for stereo input. If you are using a single input, make sure to connect it to either the A or B jack.
3. If you want to send the full-range audio signal to another device, such as a mixer or another speaker, you can use the XLR Output jacks. Connect the XLR cables from the Output jacks to the input of the other device.
4. Adjust the Subwoofer Volume Control to set the gain of the input signal. The standard usage is to set this control at 50%.
5. Use the LPF Control (Low Pass Filter) to adjust how much high frequency is filtered out of the signal. This control determines how much of the higher bass frequencies are left in the signal. It does not add bass to the signal, but rather cuts out high frequencies.
6. The Polarity Switch allows you to reverse the polarity of the subwoofer. This switch should be adjusted based on the placement of the subwoofer relative to the speakers in your audio system.
7. The Power LED indicator will light up when the subwoofer is turned on.
8. The Signal LED will flash when there is a signal input to the subwoofer.
9. The Limit LED indicator lights up when the amplifier is near clipping. If the LED is continuously lit, adjust the level control and reduce the output level of connected sources to prevent premature failure of your speaker.
10. If you are using the subwoofer in a region with different voltage standards, you can use the Voltage Selection switch to set the proper voltage (115V for US Standard or 230V for European Standard).
11. Use the Power Switch to turn the subwoofer on or off.
12. Connect the power cable to the AC Input (Neutrik powerCON receptacle) for power input. Make sure to supply the proper AC line voltage to the unit.
13. If you need to power another unit using the subwoofer, you can use the AC Output (Neutrik powerCON connector) to supply the proper AC line voltage to the other unit.
