To install the Imou DB61i 5MP Fisheye Video Doorbell, follow these steps:
1. Before starting, turn off the power at the breaker and ensure that no power is going to your doorbell system.
2. Choose a suitable location for the doorbell that does not face a high traffic area to avoid unwanted motion alerts.
3. If needed, use an angled bracket for better positioning.
4. Mark the xxxx holes on the wall or door frame where you want to install the doorbell.
5. Drill holes at the marked locations.
6. Optionally, insert wall anchors into the drilled holes for added stability.
7. Secure the bracket to the wall or door frame using screws.
8. Connect the wires from your existing doorbell system to the corresponding terminals on the back of the doorbell. Make sure to match the correct polarity.
9. Loosen the screws on the back of the doorbell to create wire loops for easy connection.
10. If necessary, use extension wires to reach the doorbell if the existing wires are not long enough.
11. Optionally, use wire nuts to securely connect the wires together.
12. Mount the doorbell onto the bracket and tighten the screws to secure it in place.
13. Install the chime kit by following the instructions provided in the user manual.
14. Remove the cover of the chime kit.
15. Loosen the screws on the chime kit to expose the wire terminals.
16. Connect the wire harness from the doorbell to the chime kit.
17. Connect the chime kit to the power source.
18. Attach the chime kit to the wall or door frame using screws.
19. Replace the cover of the chime kit.
20. Turn on the power at the breaker to activate the doorbell system.
