To connect the Isolated RS232 and RS485 Expansion Board to an MCU Starter Kit, follow these steps:
1. Connect the RS485+ and RS485- signals together.
2. Connect the EXP board to the MCU Starter Kit through the 20-pin header.
3. If using RS232, connect the provided null modem DB9 cable to the DB9 port on the EXP board.
4. If using a host device, set the bit rate to the appropriate value (9600 for RS485, 115200 for RS232) and connect the other end of the DB9 cable to the host device's DB9 port.
5. Plug the USB cable into the MCU Starter Kit to power both boards.
6. Press the Reset button on the MCU Starter Kit to initialize the connection.
Once these steps are completed, the Isolated RS232 and RS485 Expansion Board will be connected to the MCU Starter Kit, and the demo code can be loaded and run.
