To clean the Courant CGL-6000 Smokeless Grill, follow these steps:
1. Always switch off the appliance and unplug it before cleaning.
2. Allow the grill to cool completely before cleaning.
3. Remove the temperature control unit by turning the temperature setting to the OFF position and gently pulling out the temperature control probe from the appliance.
4. Wash the grill plate with hot soapy water, then dry it completely with a towel. Do not use abrasive tools or harsh cleaning solutions.
5. Clean the base plate and drip pan in soapy water. Dry them completely with a towel. Do not put the base in a dishwasher, as this may warp it.
6. Make sure the appliance and all parts are completely dry.
7. Re-insert the temperature control probe by aligning it with the terminal post of the grill and gently sliding it forward until it meets the pan. Ensure it is securely in place and makes intimate contact with the grill.
8. Never immerse the unit in water as it has electrical components and should not come in contact with water.
