To install the Trex 70001035 Pro Plug System using the Pro Plug Tool, follow these steps:
1. Start by using a standard drill (not an impact drill) to pre-drill holes for the screws. This will help prevent splitting or cracking of the deck boards.
2. Once the holes are pre-drilled, insert the screws into the holes and drive them into the deck boards using the Pro Plug Tool. The Pro Plug Tool is designed to prevent cam-out and stripping of the xxxx recesses.
3. After the screws are installed, take the plugs and tap them into the holes using a hammer. Ensure that the plugs are flush with the surface of the deck boards.
4. The Pro Plug Tool comes with a deck driver bit and a trim driver bit. Use the deck driver bit to drive the screws and the trim driver bit to install the plugs.
5. If needed, adjust the depth of the screws using the free spinning stop collar included with the Pro Plug Tool. This will help achieve a consistent depth for the screws.
6. The Trex 70001035 Pro Plug System is available in two options: 100 Linear Feet and 100 Square Feet. The Linear Feet option includes 150 screws, 165 plugs, and 2 driver bits, covering approximately 50 square feet. The Square Feet option includes 350 screws, 375 plugs, and 2 driver bits.
7. It is recommended to use a xxxx size of 10 x 2.75" for the Pro Plug System.
