To clean the grease filter on the JENNAIR JVW0636LS 36 Inch Stainless Steel Wall Mount Hood, follow these steps:
1. Remove the grease filter from the hood. The grease filter is located behind the perimeter suction panel.
2. Clean the grease filter using a cloth dampened with a neutral liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive products or alcohol.
3. If desired, the grease filter can also be cleaned in the dishwasher. Set the dishwasher to a low temperature and a short cycle. Note that the grease filter may discolor slightly when washed in the dishwasher, but this does not affect its filtering capacity.
4. After cleaning, rinse the grease filter thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling it in the hood.
It is recommended to clean the grease filter once a month or when the filter saturation indication system signals the need for cleaning. Refer to the "Hood Care" section of the instruction manual for more information on maintaining and cleaning the hood.
