To descale the kettle, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the stand and allow the kettle to cool before cleaning.
2. Wipe all surfaces of the kettle with a clean damp cloth.
3. Open the lid of the kettle.
4. Push the hook on top of the filter down and lift the filter out of the kettle.
5. Rinse the filter under a running tap while brushing it with a soft brush to remove any scale buildup.
6. Lower the filter back into the kettle and engage the bottom hook in the bottom of the spout.
7. Press the top of the filter towards the kettle to lock the hook in place.
8. Close the lid of the kettle.
It is recommended to descale the kettle regularly, at least once a month. Use a proprietary descaler and follow the instructions provided with the descaler. If the kettle develops faults due to scale buildup and is returned under guarantee, it may be subject to a repair charge. Remember to dispose of electrical and electronic products, as well as rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries, at an appropriate official recycling/collection point to avoid environmental and health problems.7
