To clean the kettle, first unplug the stand and let the kettle cool before cleaning. Wipe all surfaces with a clean damp cloth. Open the lid and slide the filter up and out of the guides. Rinse the filter under a running tap while brushing with a soft brush. Slide the filter back down into the guides and close the lid.
To descale the kettle, it is recommended to do this at least monthly. Scale can affect the performance of the kettle and make it noisier. Use a proprietary descaler and follow the instructions provided with the descaler. If the kettle develops faults due to scale and is returned under guarantee, there may be a repair charge.
Please note that the suppressor in the kettle is designed to reduce the noise made by boiling water, and scale can prevent it from working effectively.
