To install the WASSERSTEIN XT2 Solar Panel for Blink Video Doorbell, follow these steps:
1. Pre-Installation: Ensure that the solar panel has been charged in direct sunlight for at least 10 hours. Remove any previously installed doorbell, mount, or backplate.
2. Mounting the Solar Panel: If you are mounting the solar panel onto wood, use the screws provided to attach it directly. If you are mounting onto brick, concrete, or stucco, use the bracket as a guide to mark the holes. Then, drill the holes, insert the anchors, and xxxx the mount to the wall.
3. Installation: Use the key that comes with your Blink Video Doorbell to remove the backplate. Remove any AA batteries. Attach the wires from the solar panel to the new backplate, connecting the black wire to the left xxxx and the red wire to the right xxxx . Guide the wires through the opening at the bottom. Mount the new backplate to the wall using the provided anchors and screws.
4. Attaching the Doorbell: Align the top and bottom of the front of the doorbell with the top of the backplate at an angle so the hooks align. Press the doorbell firmly against the backplate and pull straight down until you hear and feel a slight click to confirm it is secure. After the doorbell is locked securely, a red LED light should flash, indicating it is seeking connection. If there is no red LED light flashing, either detach and re-install the doorbell or ensure that the solar panel has been charged for 10 hours before installation.
5. Detaching the Doorbell: If you need to remove the doorbell from the backplate, use the key that comes with the Blink Video Doorbell. Put the key into the opening at the base of the doorbell, lift or pull the key "toward" you while moving the doorbell up to unseat the hooks and separate it from the backplate.
