To set up the Quantum Networks Access Point in standalone mode, follow these steps:
1. Connect the WAN port of the Access Point to the network with Internet access.
2. Look for a new wireless network with SSID QN_XX:XX (where XX:XX are the last four digits of the Access Point MAC Address) and connect to it.
3. Open a web browser and enter the default IP address of the Access Point, which is "169.254.1.1".
4. On the configuration start page, you will see the device model number, serial number, MAC address, and current firmware.
5. If required, you can click the "Change Firmware" button to update the firmware.
6. Click "Configure" and set the device IP address by selecting the required options such as Connectivity Mode, Protocol, Interface, and VLAN Assignment.
7. Click "Proceed" to apply the configuration.
8. Select "Management Mode" as "Standalone" and define a username and password for the device.
9. Choose the Access Point Operation mode as either "Bridge" or "Router".
10. If you select "Bridge", configure the WLAN (SSID) parameters such as WLAN Name, SSID, and Passphrase.
11. If you select "Router", configure the WLAN (SSID) and Local subnet parameters such as WLAN Name, SSID, Password, IP Address, and Subnet Mask.
12. Review the Configuration Summary and click "Proceed" to complete the configuration.
