To set the welding current on the PARKSIDE Inverter Welder PTMI 180 A1, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the device is switched off by setting the ON/OFF switch to the "O" (OFF) position.
2. Connect the welding cable according to its polarity and the specifications of the electrode manufacturer. Connect the earth terminal to the workpiece and the electrode holder to the relevant output on the inverter welder (marked with "+").
3. Put on appropriate protective clothing and prepare your workplace.
4. Switch the device on by setting the ON/OFF switch to the "I" (ON) position.
5. Rotate the control wheel to adjust the welding current. The welding current can be set between 20 A/18.8 V and 180 A/25.2 V.
6. If you want to use convenient functions such as Hot Start, Arc Force, and Anti Stick, press the control button several times after selecting the "0.0" setting in the "Electrode 1/6" menu item. Use the control wheel to set the parameters and press the control button to confirm.
7. To select the electrode thickness (1.6-4 mm), press the control button until the "Electrode 1/6" menu item is displayed. Rotate the control wheel to choose the desired thickness and the current and convenient functions will be preset.
