To connect your computer and other peripherals to the CyberPower M550L/M750L/M1100XL Series Medical Grade UPS, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the UPS unit and unplug it from the AC power source.
2. Connect your computer, monitor, and any other peripherals requiring battery backup into the battery power supplied outlets on the back of the UPS. Make sure not to plug in large electrical devices such as laser printers, paper shredders, copiers, space heaters, vacuums, or sump pumps into these outlets, as they may overload and damage the unit.
3. Plug the UPS into a 2 pole, 3 wire grounded receptacle (wall outlet). Ensure that the wall branch outlet is protected by a fuse or circuit breaker and does not service equipment with large electrical demands (e.g., air conditioner, copier, etc.). Do not use extension cords, outlet strips, or surge strips.
4. Press the power switch on the front panel of the UPS to turn the unit on. The Power On indicator will illuminate, and the unit will emit a beep. If an overload is detected, an audible alarm will sound, and the unit will emit one long beep. To correct this, turn the UPS off, unplug at least one piece of equipment from the battery power supplied outlets, make sure the circuit breaker is depressed, and then turn the UPS on.
