To connect your speakers to the TAGA Harmony HTA-800B Hybrid Integrated Amplifier, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the amplifier is turned off and the power cable is disconnected from the wall outlet.
2. Identify the speaker connectors on the rear panel of the amplifier. There will be separate connectors for the right and left channels.
3. Prepare your speaker cables. Each cable should have two conductors, typically color-coded as red (+) and black (-).
4. For each speaker, strip approximately 10 mm (3/8") of insulation from the end of each conductor of the speaker cable.
5. Loosen the speaker connector for the corresponding channel on the rear panel of the amplifier.
6. Insert the bare wires of the red conductor into the gap of the red speaker connector, and tighten the connector. Repeat this step for the black conductor, inserting it into the gap of the black speaker connector and tightening it.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for the other channel, connecting the corresponding speaker cables.
8. Make sure the speaker cables are securely connected and there is no bare wire exposed that could cause a short circuit.
9. Once the speakers are connected, you can turn on the amplifier and start enjoying your music.
Note: It is important to connect the speakers with the correct polarity. The red (+) speaker connector should be connected to the red (+) terminal on the speaker, and the black (-) speaker connector should be connected to the black (-) terminal on the speaker. Connecting the speakers with the wrong polarity may result in phase cancellation and affect the sound quality.
Please refer to the instruction manual for additional information and illustrations on speaker cable connection.
