To install the HAVIT Lightning HV1622T-BLK-240V Highlite Bollard Light, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the electrical circuit is free of voltage by switching off the master switch.
2. Twist the baseplate anti-clockwise to remove it from the fitting.
3. Install the baseplate in the desired location using appropriate screws. Note that the location must be on concrete or a concrete base and should not be installed underground.
4. If using an extension piece, attach it to the bollard by twisting it clockwise until the two pieces are completely together.
5. Solder connect the cable by stripping back the cable on both the fitting and the cable run. Twist the earths together first, then connect the positive cable from the fitting to the positive on the cable run. Finally, connect the neutral from the fitting to the neutral on the cable run.
6. Solder all joins using solder and either a heat gun or butane gas torch.
7. Cover the connections using an adhesive-lined heat shrink or gel cap to make them watertight. Failure to do this will void the warranty.
8. Heat the heat shrink or crimp the gel cap, ensuring that all connections are covered.
9. Apply silicone to all cable entry holes and fixing points on the baseplate to prevent moisture penetration into the fitting.
10. Affix the bollard to the baseplate by twisting it clockwise until it stops.
11. The default color temperature is set to 3000K. To change it, remove the cap from the fitting by twisting it anti-clockwise. Select the desired color temperature by moving the switch on the PCB. Attach the cover by turning it clockwise, making sure the seals are still in place and the caps are tight to avoid water penetration.
12. Carefully inspect all connections before switching the electric circuit back on.
