The Lucent IW40-SQ InWall40 Square Recessed Wall Light can be installed using different methods depending on the type of wall and location. Here are the installation methods provided in the manual:
1. IW40-90-SPRING: This method is suitable for installation in hollow walls. The cut-out diameter should be 1.38" (35mm).
2. IW40-TUBE: This method is suitable for installation in solid surfaces. The cut-out diameter should be 1.42" (36mm).
3. IW40-CONDUIT: This method involves installing the light behind the wall using conduit, which must be provided according to NEC/CEC requirements.
