To install the HC HONEYCOMB Shades Power Wand, follow these steps:
1. Gather the necessary tools, including a pencil or marker, measuring tape, flat head screwdriver, carpenter's level, power drill, mounting fasteners, and appropriate mounting surface fasteners (wall anchors, expansion bolts, sheet metal screws, or wood screws).
2. Review the mounting types and basic window terminology provided in the installation guide.
3. Determine whether you will be doing an inside mount or an outside mount. The bracket requirements and placements are the same for both types.
4. For an inside mount, xxxx the installation brackets through the top two holes to the desired window sill location. Use a 3/32" drill bit to drill holes for the screws. Ensure all brackets are level and aligned.
5. For an outside mount, xxxx the standard installation brackets through the two back holes to the desired location. Use a 3/32" drill bit to drill holes for the screws. Ensure all brackets are level and aligned.
6. If needed, install extension brackets by positioning them to the desired wall location. Mount the extension brackets through the back holes with two screws. Attach installation brackets to extension brackets with included screws and nuts.
7. Remove the wand hanger from the headrail. Attach the "Internal L Hanger" onto the "Hanger Post" and insert the post into the top hole in the headrail. Use a flat head screwdriver to tighten the wand cap xxxx into the headrail.
8. Install the shade by tilting the headrail slightly backward to angle the front inside lip to the brackets. Push the headrail upward and toward the window to snap it into place. Ensure no fabric is pinched between the brackets and the headrail.
9. To remove the shade, insert a screwdriver between the headrail and the bottom back of the bracket and gently pry to release the bracket from the headrail.
