Cleaning the VITEK VT-8542 Immersion Blender Set is important to maintain its performance and longevity. Here are the steps to clean the different parts of the blender set:
1. Unplug the unit before cleaning.
2. Remove the attachments from the motor unit.
3. Use a slightly damp cloth to clean the motor unit and the gears. Wipe them dry.
4. Rinse the blender attachment or chopping knife with water immediately after processing salty or sour products.
5. If the attachments and bowls get colored from processing products with strong dyeing properties, wipe them with a cloth dampened in vegetable oil. Then wash them with warm water and a neutral detergent.
6. Wash the attachments that came into contact with food with warm water and a neutral detergent. Dry them thoroughly after use.
7. Wash the whisk attachment all over and wash only the lower part of the blender attachment.
8. Do not immerse the motor unit and gears into any liquids or wash them under a water jet or in a dishwasher.
It is important to clean the blender set thoroughly before storing it. Make sure to dry all the parts before storing them in a dry and cool place. Do not wind the power cord around the motor unit.
