To install the Style Selections Metal Wall Mount Hose Reel, follow these steps:
1. Determine the type of wall you have (masonry, stud, or drywall) and gather the necessary tools listed in the manual.
2. Position the mounting rail (part D) on the wall at a convenient height and use a level to ensure it is horizontal.
3. Mark hole center locations on the wall, making sure there are no live electric wires or plumbing in the area.
4. Depending on your wall type, use the appropriate drill bit to drill pilot holes centered on the marks.
5. For masonry walls, use a 1/2" (13 mm) masonry drill bit and lightly tap the masonry anchors into the holes. For stud walls, use a 7/32" (5.5 mm) drill bit and hang the mounting rail with lag screws. For drywall walls, use a 7/32" (5.5 mm) drill bit and hang the mounting rail with lag screws.
6. Hang the hose reel (part A) on the mounting rail.
7. Attach two mounting clips (part E) to the bottom rail (part F) and mark hole center locations on the wall.
8. Remove the hose reel and drill pilot holes on the marks. Tap plastic anchors (part EE) into the holes.
9. Open the mounting clips and hang the hose reel back onto the mounting rail.
10. Remove the xxxx (part FF) from the shaft and slide the crank handle (part C) onto the shaft. Insert the xxxx and tighten it with a Phillips screwdriver.
11. Inspect the threaded female connector on the hose reel and confirm that the rubber O-ring is properly seated.
12. Connect the threaded male connector end of the leader hose (part B) to the threaded female fitting on the hose reel spool. Tighten by hand until snug, then use adjustable pliers or a wrench to tighten fully.
