To change the torque/speed range on the KOBALT KIW 124B-03 Impact Wrench, follow these steps:
1. Attach the battery pack to the tool.
2. Position the direction-of-rotation selector to the left or right of the tool, depending on the desired rotation direction.
3. Depress and release the variable-speed trigger switch to "wake up" the control panel.
4. Press the torque/speed button located on the base of the tool to cycle through the different torque/speed ranges. Each press of the button switches to the next range.
5. The LED indicator lights will indicate the selected range. One light indicates the lowest speed and torque, two lights indicate medium speed and torque, and three lights indicate maximum speed and torque.
Remember not to change the torque/speed setting while the tool is running. The setting will only change when you release the variable-speed trigger switch.
