To install the Hunter 19484 River Mill Light Vanity, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breakers to the outlet box associated with the wall switch location.
2. Ensure that the ground wire for the installation site is present. If not, consult a qualified electrician.
3. Make sure all wiring is in accordance with national and local electrical codes.
4. Gather the necessary tools: ladder, screwdriver, pliers, and wire strippers.
5. Remove all contents from the carton and shut off power at the circuit breaker.
6. Remove the old fixture, including the old mounting bracket.
7. Take out the new mounting bracket assembly from the bag and remove the cap nuts from the mounting screws.
8. Place the mounting plate over the junction box, adjusting the position of the mounting screws if needed.
9. Pull the house wires through the center of the mounting plate and secure it to the junction box by tightening the screws.
10. Assemble the fixture using the provided rods, determining the correct number needed for the desired hanging height.
11. Thread the wires through the rods and connect the rods together.
12. xxxx the rod onto the post on the fixture and pull the fixture wires through the top of the canopy.
13. Connect the fixture's wires to the power supply wires from the junction box (black to black, white to white, grounding to grounding).
14. Twist the wire pairs together and secure with a wire connector.
15. Loop the fixture's ground wire around the grounding xxxx and tighten.
16. Raise the canopy to the mounting plate and tighten the cap nuts on the mounting screws until the canopy is snug against the ceiling.
17. Attach the glass by aligning the notches in the glass with the tabs in the lamp cup and turning it clockwise.
18. Install a light bulb (not included) according to the fixture's specifications.
19. Turn on the power and test the fixture.
