To install the StarTech ST4000PEXPSE Network Card in your computer, follow these steps:
1. Turn off your computer and disconnect any peripherals.
2. Remove the cover from your computer case.
3. Locate an open PCI Express slot and remove the metal cover plate on the rear of the case.
4. Connect either an LP4 Molex or SATA Power connector from the computer power supply to the appropriate connector on the card.
5. Gently insert the card into the open PCI Express slot and fasten the bracket to the rear of the case.
6. Place the cover back onto the computer case.
7. Insert the power cable into the socket on the power supply and reconnect all other connectors.
8. If you're using Windows 8 or higher/Windows Server 2012 or higher, the Network Adapter Card will be automatically detected and the required drivers will be installed. If not, you can download the drivers from the StarTech website and follow the installation guide included in the driver package.
9. To confirm installation, navigate to Device Manager on your computer and check if the Realtek adapters corresponding to the number of RJ45 ports on the card are listed under Network adapters.
