To start the Gude STS 850 Jigsaw, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the machine is connected to a 230V ~ 50Hz power source.
2. Familiarize yourself with the control elements and how to use the appliance properly by reading and understanding the operating instructions provided in the manual.
3. Before starting the machine, make sure you have the necessary safety equipment, such as safety glasses, dust mask, protective gloves, sturdy non-slip footwear, and ear defenders.
4. Securely clamp your workpiece to a stable platform using clamps or another practical method.
5. Position the jigsaw blade on the desired cutting line of the workpiece.
6. Hold the power tool by the insulated gripping surfaces only to avoid contact with hidden wiring or the power cord.
7. Press the power switch to turn on the jigsaw.
8. Gradually apply pressure to the workpiece and guide the jigsaw along the cutting line.
9. Once you have completed the cut, release the power switch to turn off the jigsaw.
10. Always keep the connection cable away from the working area of the device and guide it backward, away from the device.
