To adjust the position of the threaded post on the mounting bracket, follow these steps:
1. Lift the mounting bracket up to the junction box and place the canopy over the canopy loop, so that it is flush with the ceiling.
2. Determine if the position of the threaded post needs to be adjusted by checking if the canopy covers at least half of the exterior threads on the canopy loop while securely connected to the threaded post.
3. If adjustment is needed, loosen the hex nut on the threaded post to allow movement.
4. Slide the threaded post to the desired position, ensuring that the canopy is still flush with the ceiling.
5. Once the ideal position is determined, tighten the hex nuts onto the threaded post just beneath the mounting bracket to secure it in place.
