The filter in the anko TR-8013 Desktop Air Purifier should be replaced every 6 months or sooner depending on air quality. To clean the filter, you can tap the edge of the filter gently on a hard surface to dislodge any dust and debris, or use a vacuum cleaner hose to suck out the dust and debris. However, please note that the filter is not washable. If the filter is very dirty and cannot be cleaned effectively, it should be replaced with a new one. Replacement filters can be purchased from Kmart.
