To activate and test the smartwares SH8-90103 Smoke Alarm, follow these steps:
1. Open the smoke alarm device by following the instructions in the manual.
2. Connect the 2 x 1.5VDC AA Alkaline batteries provided with the device.
3. Close the smoke alarm device and let it rest for approximately 5 minutes to allow it to calibrate itself.
4. Press and hold the test button on the device until an alarm signal sounds and releases.
5. If the alarm signal does not sound after pressing the test button, the smoke alarm device may not be working properly. In this case, it is recommended to seek advice from Smartwares.
Note: The smoke alarm cannot be mounted if the battery is not placed for the safety of the end user.
It is important to test the functionality of the smoke alarm device regularly by using the test button.
