Cleaning and assembling the Tommee Tippee Superstar Flip Top Sportee cup is important for maintaining hygiene and ensuring proper functionality. Here are the steps to clean and assemble the cup, as provided in the instruction manual:
1. Before first use, disassemble the cup and thoroughly clean all parts. This is to ensure hygiene.
2. After each use, unscrew the lid and open the flip cap to expose the spout.
3. Remove the straw from the cup.
4. Use your thumb to push out the hard valve from under the lid.
5. Pinch the base of the spout on either side and push it through the lid to remove it.
6. Wash all parts thoroughly in warm soapy water and rinse in clean water. Avoid using a brush on the soft part of the valve to prevent damage.
7. Alternatively, all parts can be washed in the dishwasher on the top shelf.
8. Do not clean the cup with solvents or harsh chemicals.

To reassemble the cup correctly:
1. Align the silicone spout and the hard valve, and press them together. Ensure that part B of the soft side is fully pushed through the hole of the hard side. This is essential for the valve to function correctly.
2. Install the silicone spout with the hard valve from under the lid. Pull the spout until it clicks and push the hard valve firmly until the three prongs lock into place.
3. Reassemble the hard straw by pushing it firmly into the hard valve.
