To install the CALEX Halo Slimme Ceiling Light, please follow these steps:
1. Before installing the product, check which plugs and screws are best suited for the intended surface.
2. Do not connect the product to a power supply while it is still in the package or wound onto a reel.
3. Ensure that the product is not covered or recessed into a surface.
4. Determine the safety class of the product:
- Safety Class !: This product must be connected to an earthed socket. Connect the ground wire (yellow green vein) to the marked terminal.
- Safety Class I: This product is double insulated and does not need to be connected to an earthed socket.
- Safety Class l: This product is only suitable for very low safety voltage (e.g. 12V).
5. The luminaire is intended for indoor use only.
6. The luminaire must not be covered with insulating material and is not suitable for installation in the bathroom.
7. Determine the mounting options:
- The luminaire is suitable for wall mounting.
- The luminaire is suitable for ceiling mounting.
- The luminaire is suitable for both wall and ceiling mounting.
8. Strip the wire as indicated in the icon.
9. Determine the IP rating of the product:
- IP20: Intended for use in dry spaces indoors.
- IP23: Rain resistant.
- IP44: Splash proof, protected against solid objects greater than 1 mm and water spray from any direction.
- IP54: Protected from limited dust ingress and water spray from any direction.
- IP65: Dustproof and protected from water jets. The luminaire cannot be used if the housing is broken.
10. If the protective glass is damaged, it must be replaced immediately.
11. Respect the minimum distance between the light source and the illuminated materials as indicated in the icon.
12. Use only lamps of the correct type and never exceed the maximum indicated wattage.
13. Use a heat-resistant cable to connect the luminaire to the mains.
14. The luminaire is only suitable for lamps with built-in protection or low-pressure lamps. An extra protective glass is not required.
15. If the luminaire does not work after replacing the lamp, check and replace the built-in fuse if necessary. Qualified electricians should handle fixed connection wiring.
16. This luminaire is suitable for top-mirror lamps.
17. The luminaire must be fixed-mounted and should not be connected to a power source using a connecting cord.
18. Follow the appropriate type of replacement cord based on the product's classification (Type X, Y, or Z).
19. Ensure that no electrical or other wires in the ceiling or wall are touched during the installation.
20. Electrical installation wires must never be clamped or twisted between the luminaire and the mounting surface.
21. The product is dimmable and compatible with a TRIAC dimmer.
22. This product uses LED technology and is only suitable for it.
23. The light source of this luminaire is not replaceable. When the end of the service life has been reached, the entire luminaire must be replaced. However, the LED light source can be replaced by a professional.
24. Do not cover the product with objects and keep it away from sharp edges, oils, and heat.
25. Never use the product in an area where there is a risk of explosion or near flammable substances or gases.
26. If passing on the product to third parties, include the manuals.
27. Keep the product out of the reach of children.
28. Remember to turn off the product when leaving the room.
