To install the UNIWATT UBB Series High Density Baseboard, please follow these steps:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to cut off the power supply at the circuit breaker or fuse.
2. Choose a suitable location for the baseboard heater, ensuring that it is not installed where objects or furniture could be heat damaged.
3. Respect the distances and positions indicated in the installation section of the user guide.
4. Ensure that the unit is appropriate for the intended use and that the line voltage matches the voltage indicated on the unit's nameplate.
5. Ground the unit by connecting the ground wire (bare wire) from the circuit breaker panel to the green xxxx inside the junction box of the heater.
6. Mount the unit to the wall using the provided mounting holes. Make sure the anchorage used can support the total weight of the unit with the mounting brackets.
7. When cutting or drilling into a wall, be careful not to damage electrical wiring or other hidden utilities.
8. After tightening the baseboard heater to the wall, loosen the mounting screws half a turn to allow for metal expansion.
9. For single baseboard wiring, the baseboard can be wired to a power supply from either end. Remove the twist-on connector from the selected junction box and secure the power leads.
10. For multiple baseboards wiring, power connections can be made in either junction box of any heater. Ground continuity must be maintained between heaters that are physically joined to each other and supplied from the same branch circuit.
11. Once the installation is complete, restore the power supply at the circuit breaker panel.
Please note that these are general installation instructions. For more detailed instructions and illustrations, refer to the UNIWATT UBB Series High Density Baseboard User Guide.
