To install and configure the Y Soft SAFEQ 6 USB Card Reader, please follow the steps below:
1. Ensure that you have the necessary knowledge of the YSoft SafeQ system for installation and administration.
2. Connect the USB Card Reader to a multi-functional device (MFD) or workstation using the USB host interface. The card reader can be hot-plugged, meaning it can be exchanged without turning off the MFD.
3. If connecting to an MFD, use the provided mounting kit to securely mount the card reader.
4. Once connected, the LED indicator on the card reader will show different colors to indicate its status. Refer to the user guide for the meaning of each LED color.
5. To use the card reader for user authentication, the card must be assigned to a user in the YSoft SafeQ system. After successful authentication, the user can perform print, copy, or scan jobs on the MFD.
6. The USB Card Reader can also be used with a credit charger application or with the YSoft SafeQ client for authentication on workstations.
