3. Unfasten and remove the two outer screws securing the windshield. Loosen, but do not remove, the center xxxx . Remove the windshield and set aside. Refer to the motorcycle's service manual for additional assistance.
4. For bikes with passing lamps, remove the two screws that connect the passing lamp's mounting bracket to the upper and lower fork brackets. Disconnect the passing lamp's connector and remove the light fixture. Repeat on the opposite side. For bikes without passing lamps, proceed to step 5.
5. Remove the two screws from each side of the inner fairing and set them aside.
6. While holding the outer fairing in place, remove the center windshield xxxx and tip the outer fairing forward. Unplug the headlight from the connector and carefully remove the outer fairing from the motorcycle. Set the outer fairing on a soft, sturdy surface with the headlight facing up. Set the center windshield xxxx aside for reuse.
7. For bikes with passing lamps, connect the passing lamps' connectors to the newly installed wiring adapters. Loosely reinstall the passing lamps to the upper and lower fork brackets. For bikes without passing lamps, connect the turn signal connectors to the newly installed wiring adapters.

12. Realign the trim assembly with the top edge of the outer fairing. Loosely secure them all together using the provided button cap head screws. Make adjustments to the trim assembly, gasket, and wires. Be sure the top edge of the gasket wraps around the top edge of the trim assembly to prevent water from getting behind the assembly.
13. Fully tighten all windshield mount screws and inner fairing upper screws.
14. For bikes with passing lamps, fully tighten all passing lamp mounts. For bikes without passing lamps, proceed to step 15.
15. Reinstall the main fuse and test the trim assembly for proper run/turn operations.
