To install the BANSA ROSE HM-GY5204ACSN 52 Inch Decorative Ceiling Fan, follow these steps:
1. Safety Precautions: Before beginning installation, turn off the electricity at the circuit breaker or fuse box. Ensure that all wiring is done according to the National Electrical Code and local electrical codes by a qualified licensed electrician.
2. Mounting: For a wooden ceiling, use wood screws to fix the hanging bracket onto the wooden beam or junction box. For a concrete ceiling, use a percussion bit to drill holes and insert expansion bolts to fix the hanging bracket.
3. Electrical Outlet Box: Ensure that the outlet box is suitable for fan support and securely mounted to the building structure. Use appropriate fasteners and materials.
4. Hanging the Fan: Feed the motor wires through the download assembly and align the holes. Replace the hanger pin and locking pin, and tighten the collar set screws. Slip the coupling cover, canopy cover, and canopy onto the download.
5. Hang the Fan: Lift the fan motor assembly up to the mounting bracket and seat the hanger ball in the mounting bracket socket. Rotate the fan motor assembly until the check groove drops into the registration slot. The downrod should not rotate if done correctly.
6. Install Canopy: Insert the loosened screws into the keyholes on the mounting bracket. Raise the canopy up to the mounting bracket and rotate it clockwise. Secure the canopy by replacing the screws and tightening them. Place the canopy cover and rotate it clockwise until it locks into position.
7. Blade Attachment: Attach each blade to the fan motor housing by inserting it into the slot and securing it with screws. Repeat for all blades.
8. Electrical Connections: Make the electrical connections using the plastic wire connectors provided with the fan. Secure the connectors with electrical tape and ensure there are no loose strands or connections.
9. Optional Light Kit: If using a light kit, follow the instructions provided with the kit to connect the wires from the switching box of the motor to the light.
10. Remote Control (if applicable): Connect the wires from the receiver to the terminal block as per the instruction diagram. Install the remote control by pushing the canopy to the bottom of the mounting bracket and turning it clockwise.
