To install the GE 93105002 Single Pole Or 3-Way Smart Switch, please follow the instructions provided in the instruction manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Turn off the power: Before starting the installation, turn off the power to the switch at the circuit breaker.
2. Remove the existing switch: Remove the existing switch from the wall box. Take note of the wire connections and how they are connected to the switch.
3. Connect the wires: Connect the wires from the wall box to the smart switch as follows:
- Connect the line (hot) wire to the black wire on the smart switch.
- Connect the load wire (going to the light) to the red wire on the smart switch.
- Connect the neutral wire (if available) to the white wire on the smart switch.
- Connect the ground wire to the green wire on the smart switch.
4. Install the smart switch: Carefully tuck the wires into the wall box and mount the smart switch using the provided screws. Make sure it is securely attached to the wall.
5. Restore power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
6. Set up the smart switch: Download the CYNC App on your smartphone and follow the instructions to set up and connect the smart switch to your Wi-Fi network.
7. Customize settings: Once the smart switch is connected, you can use the CYNC App to customize settings, create lighting scenes, schedule on/off times, and control other CYNC or C by GE bulbs in the room.
Note: If you are installing the smart switch in a 3-way configuration (where two switches control the same light), additional wiring and configuration steps may be required. Please refer to the instruction manual for detailed instructions on 3-way installation.
