To log into the MERCURY 6220 Wireless Dual-Band Router and set up the correct settings for the Mercury network, please follow these steps:
1. Connect your device to the router using an Ethernet cable (preferably hardwired).
2. Open a web browser on your device.
3. In the web browser's address bar, type "www.routerlogin.net" and press Enter.
4. Enter the default username "admin" and the default password "password" or "Admin" (unless you have changed it to your own previously).
5. If the password is incorrect, you will need to factory reset the router by pressing and holding the Reset button on the back of the router for 10 seconds.
To add the correct settings for the Mercury network, follow these steps:
1. From the Advanced menu, select "Setup".
2. From the sub-menu, select "WAN Setup".
3. Set "WAN Preference" to "Must Use Ethernet WAN". This will reboot the router.
4. From the Advanced tab, select "Setup" again.
5. From the sub-menu, select "Internet Setup".
6. Select "Country" as "NZ".
7. Select "Internet Service Provider" as "Other".
8. Enable the interface by ticking the "Enable This Interface" checkbox.
9. Tick the "Use VLAN ID" checkbox and set the VLAN ID to "10".
10. Select "Does your internet require a login" as "Yes".
11. Set "Internet Service Provider" as "PPPoE".
12. Enter your Mercury account number followed by "@mercurybroadband.co.NZ" in the "Login" field.
13. Enter your password in the "Password" field.
14. Set "Connection Mode" as "Always On".
15. Click "Apply" at the top of the page. This will reboot the router.
After following these steps, your MERCURY 6220 Wireless Dual-Band Router should be connected to the Mercury network and ready to use with Fibre.
