To log into the MERCURY RT-N10E Wireless N150 Router and configure the correct settings for the Mercury network, please follow these steps:
1. Connect your device to the router using an Ethernet cable.
2. Open a web browser on your device.
3. In the address bar at the top of the browser, type "192.168.1.1" and press Enter.
4. You will be prompted to enter a username and password. The default username is "admin" and the default password is also "admin". Enter these credentials and click Login.
Once you have logged into the router's user interface, follow these steps to add the correct settings for the Mercury network:
1. From the left menu, select "WAN". This will take you to the Internet Connection page.
2. On the Internet Connection page, make the following changes:
- WAN Connection Type: Select "PPPoE".
- Enable UPnP: Set it to "Yes".
- Get the WAN IP automatically: Set it to "Yes".
- Connect to DNS Server automatically: Set it to "Yes".
- PPP Username: Enter your Mercury account number followed by "@mercurybroadband.co.nz".
- Password: Enter your Mercury account password (e.g., "password123").
- Service Name: Leave it blank.
- Connection Type: Select "Continuous".
- MTU: Set it to "1492".
- Connect to DNS Server automatically: Set it to "Yes".
- Select ISP: Choose "Manual".
- Internet: Set VID to "10" and PRIO to "0".
- Leave the rest of the settings unchanged.
3. Click "Apply" to save the changes.
By following these steps, you should be able to log into the MERCURY RT-N10E Wireless N150 Router and configure the correct settings for the Mercury network.
