To connect multiple pairs of speakers to the MONACOR ATT-325ST EAS Volume Controller, you need to use a series connection and, if necessary, a parallel connection. It is important to ensure that the total impedance of the speakers does not fall below 4 Ω to avoid damaging the power amplifier.
Here's how you can make the connections:
1. Start by switching off the audio system completely.
2. Remove the terminals from their plug-in connections on the volume controller for easier handling.
3. Connect the positive terminal of the first pair of speakers to the positive terminal of the volume controller.
4. Connect the negative terminal of the first pair of speakers to the negative terminal of the volume controller.
5. If you have additional pairs of speakers, repeat steps 3 and 4 for each pair.
6. If necessary, for parallel connection, connect the positive terminals of all the pairs of speakers together.
7. Similarly, connect the negative terminals of all the pairs of speakers together.
8. Ensure that the total impedance of the connected speakers does not fall below 4 Ω.
