To clean the Carter-Hoffmann Heated Banquet and Transport Cart with FH90 Heating System, follow these steps:
1. Allow the cabinet to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Lift out the entire heating unit by unplugging it and wrapping the cord around the handle. Lift the heater up and out of the cabinet.
3. Remove the racks or shelves by lifting them up and pulling them out. The tray slides can be hand washed or run through an automatic dishwasher.
4. Wash the vinyl trim with a chlorine-free detergent and water. Rinse thoroughly with clear water and allow it to dry. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, car polish, or substances containing strong aromatic solvents or alcohol.
5. Use only chloride-free and phosphate-free cleansers, detergents, degreasers, or sanitizers to clean the stainless steel surfaces. Do not exceed recommended concentrations or mixing ratios. After cleaning and sanitizing, rinse all exposed surfaces thoroughly with large amounts of clear water. Wipe off any standing liquid or residue from all horizontal surfaces, corners, or edges.
6. Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth.
7. Replace the heating unit back into the cabinet.
Note: It is important to avoid spilling or pouring water into the controls, control panel, or wiring, as water damage is not covered by the warranty. Also, do not use steel wool pads as they may result in rusting, and do not use cleaning agents that contain chlorides or phosphates, as they can cause permanent damage to the stainless steel.
