To use the RIDGID 32870 4-Wheel Pipe Cutters, follow these steps:
1. Determine the appropriate model and size of the pipe cutter based on your needs. The RIDGID 32870 comes in two models: Model 42-A with a short handle for use in confined areas, and Model 44-S with a second handle for two-man leverage on large pipe sizes.
2. Position the pipe cutter around the pipe you want to cut. Ensure that the pipe cutter is securely in place and aligned properly.
3. Rotate the pipe cutter around the pipe in a clockwise direction. The four heavy-duty wheels on the cutter will grip the pipe and gradually cut through it.
4. Continue rotating the pipe cutter until the pipe is completely cut. For larger pipe sizes, you may need to use the second handle on Model 44-S to provide additional leverage.
5. Once the cut is complete, remove the pipe cutter from the pipe.
It is important to note that three- and four-wheel pipe cutters should only be used when the cutter cannot be rotated completely around the pipe. Always refer to the instruction manual for specific instructions and safety guidelines for your pipe cutter model.
