According to the ReliOn PREMIER Voice Blood Glucose Monitoring System user manual, please follow the cleaning and disinfection instructions provided below:
1. Cleaning the Meter:
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol (70%) to clean the meter.
- Do not use abrasive or chemical cleaners, as they may damage the meter.
- Ensure that no liquid enters the meter's openings.
2. Cleaning the Lancing Device:
- Wipe the lancing device with a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or isopropyl alcohol (70%).
- Do not immerse the lancing device in water or any other liquid.
3. Disinfecting the Meter and Lancing Device:
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with a solution of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water to disinfect the meter and lancing device.
- After disinfection, wipe them with a clean, damp cloth to remove any residue.
- Allow the meter and lancing device to air dry completely before use.
Important Limitations:
- Do not use any other cleaning or disinfecting agents not specified in the user manual, as they may damage the meter or lancing device.
- Do not autoclave, boil, or expose the meter or lancing device to extreme heat or cold.
- Do not immerse the meter or lancing device in water or any other liquid.
- Do not use the meter or lancing device if they are wet or if liquid has entered the openings.
