To install the Portway 1170-1015825 Rochester 7 Chrome Door Trim and the reducing bricks, please follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Before starting the installation, ensure that all the items in the Reducer Brick Kit are present as detailed on page 3 of the instruction manual.
2. Begin by fitting the M6 nut and washer to the studs on the left-hand (L/H) and right-hand (R/H) mounting brackets. Make sure the nuts are not fully tightened down to the base of the thread. Refer to figure 1 in the manual for visual guidance.
3. Assemble the retaining brackets with the M6 x 12mm Hex Head Bolts and washers provided.
4. Use the M8 x 70mm bolt with washer and nut to secure the reducer brick to the mounting bracket. Repeat this process for the other reducer brick. See figure 3 in the manual for reference.
5. Fit the reducer brick assembly to the mounting bracket behind the washer and tighten the M6 nut to secure it. Use a 10mm nut runner or socket for this step. Refer to figure 4 in the manual.
6. Repeat the above steps for the right-hand side (R/H/S) reducer brick. Figure 5 in the manual shows the reducer brick correctly fitted in position.
Please note that it is crucial to mechanically secure the two stove bricks to the stove during installation to avoid any dangerous situations.
