To install the VENTS Boost-I 200 Duct Mixed-Type Fan in Sound-Insulated Casing, please follow the instructions provided in the user manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Before installing the fan, make sure there are no visible defects on the unit and all necessary parts are included.
2. Ensure that the power supply is turned off before starting the installation.
3. The fan is designed for connection to ø 200 mm air ducts. Connect the air ducts of the appropriate diameter to the fan, ensuring that the connections are airtight.
4. The fan casing is equipped with fixing brackets for suspended mounting. Install the fan between the air ducts, ensuring convenient access for maintenance and repair.
5. Make sure the unit is securely fastened prior to operation.
6. The direction of the air flow is indicated by an arrow on the fan label. Ensure that the air motion in the system is in compliance with this direction.
7. It is recommended to connect a straight air duct section to the spigots on both sides of the unit while mounting. The minimum recommended straight air duct section length is equal to 3 fan diameters.
8. If the air ducts are shorter than 1 m or not connected, the internal parts of the unit must be protected from the ingress of foreign objects. You can cover the spigots with a protecting grille or other protecting device with a mesh width not more than 12.5 mm.
9. Once the fan is installed, ensure that there are no visible defects, the mounting brackets are securely fastened, and the unit is securely mounted.
