To properly store your outdoor furniture using the IKEA TOSTERÖ Storage Bag for Cushions, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the furniture is dry before covering it with the TOSTERÖ cover.
2. Place the cover over the furniture, making sure that the glossy side is facing inwards towards the furniture. The cover is not reversible.
3. Fasten the hook-and-loop straps around the legs of the furniture to secure the cover in place, especially on windy days.
4. Adjust the bottom hem of the cover to ensure that the lower parts of the furniture are properly covered.
5. During the off-season, it is recommended to store your outdoor furniture in a cool, dry place indoors. If storing outdoors, make sure to cover the furniture and place it under a roof on a dry and protected floor or surface to prevent moisture and mildew.
6. If you cannot place the covered furniture under a roof, tilt it slightly to allow water to run off after rain or snowfall.
7. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off any excess water or snow, especially from flat surfaces.
8. Allow air to ventilate around the covered furniture to prevent moisture and mold.
For cleaning the cover, you can spray it with cold water (30°C) from a garden hose or wipe it with a soft cloth soaked in water to remove dust and dirt. For heavily soiled areas, scrub with a sponge soaked in mild detergent and rinse with cold water.
