The komfovent VERSO Standard Compact Units are not suitable for installation in outdoor areas without additional modification. If you intend to install the unit outdoors, you need to follow these steps:
1. Fix the unit to the base frame.
2. Install air dampers on the duct connections.
3. Protect the unit from weather influence by installing dedicated roof and hoods.
4. It is recommended to install the unit near walls for extra protection from the wind.
5. Install outdoor air closing dampers, which are mandatory.
6. Additionally seal the connections of outdoor units (sealant not included).
7. If the outdoor unit will be switched off during the cold season, fit the supply and extract air ducts (on the indoor side) with additional air shut-off dampers. These dampers should prevent warm indoor air from circulating inside the unit when it is stopped to avoid condensation, which may be detrimental to electronic components.
8. Install air intake and outlet hoods as far apart as possible to prevent exhaust air from returning to the air intakes.
Please refer to the instruction manual for more detailed information and specific instructions for mounting the base frame, roofs, and hoods.
